Moira Hulett - Graphic Designer
moira@stabledesign.co.ukAfter starting work for a Swiss engineering company, I changed the nature of drawing on the drawing board to one for print. I took the design and print forward running a workshop for disadvantaged young people in Birmingham, before moving to Somerset and starting to work for myself.
I have watched the design and print industry evolve from freezing in fingerless gloves at my drawing board to Apple Macs and the amazing technology that surrounds them. The welcome demise of Lettraset and film to the purity of digital imagery, Internet, the universe - at the click of a mouse. I find this age such an exciting time and want to be part of it. So yes... I can boast a thorough knowledge of the design and print industry, but there is still so much to learn.
- My family and watching them all grow their own identity.
- My three fabulous golden retrievers and walking them on Ham Hill.
- The buzz you get from a happy customer and a job well done.
- Fast cars - putting my foot down and clearing the boy racers at the traffic lights, with a smirk and without a backward glance.
- Working at farmers' markets and swapping recipes with the lovely people you meet there.
- Whisky and Canada dry.
