December Review
What's been happening at
Stable Design this month
Hidden down the end of a track here at Stable Design, we’re beginning to wind down for the Christmas break. As the festive season is now truly knocking at the door some of us are snuggled up in extra layers, making that last dash to the shops or breathing sighs of relief as we get closer to the big day. We’re so ready to enjoy the company of friends and family, to overeat and potentially overdrink.
This year we have worked with some amazing companies and individuals. Making it truly another year to be thankful for!
We thought we’d leave you with what we have been up in this month.

Time to mull it over...
We made it, the whole of 2021 – done – tick – complete! With a few of us working from home, it has been difficult to get into the Christmas Spirit, but I fully intend on drinking my fair share of Christmas spirits over the next few weeks. Looking back on the last year, we have plenty to smile about!
A new member of the team – Oli Cordy – is settling nicely and getting his teeth into some fun projects. Although, if I ask him to do any more snow animation I think he might leave us!
Woodey is working with us full time and proving a huge amount of web development knowledge along with fun and laughter to boot. This last year, we would have been lost with him – his problem-solving skills and general attitude to life is a wonderful thing to have in the office.
Georgie has really come into her own this year with new customers and some exciting projects. It’s great to watch her clients grow and evolve over this last year, she has had to really think outside the box as it has been a hard year to plan any type of marketing project. But Georgie has had a great year in her role as Marketing Support lead.
As for James – he has done an amazing job, pulling off some of our largest projects and keeping us all organised and enthused, even on our off days! He is the first person to jump in when we are up against a problem or concern, and the first one with the terrible jokes to lighten the mood. What would we have done without him?
Moira has been a busy bumble bee too – dealing with all our local corporate responsibility projects – helping at the local village shop and keeping our books and accounts on tip-top form!
As for me, what can I say, I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved this year. Against all the odds it has been a very successful year! I am in love with the look and feel of the new websites we have worked on, especially Brown & Forrest. Watching Frogmary’s and Gather Technology’s social presence grow has been an unbelievably proud moment. That doesn’t mean there haven’t been some sad moments. Saying goodbye to some special customers, suppliers and people has been hard.
This time of year, I think a long walk and giving yourself time to reflect on the year you have had (ideally with a hipflask of sloe gin) good or bad, it will all pass and 2022 is the land of opportunity.
So, I raise a glass to next year and what that may bring – thanks to everyone for their support during this time of uncertainty and we look forward to working with you in the next!

Re-Introducing
Woodey - Web Developer
Although he has been working alongside us for many years and after much consideration, we thought it was about time to finally make ‘Official’.
Bringing his wealth of knowledge with all thing’s websites related (along with his sense of humour) we would like to re-introduce… Woodey. He is our man with the website plan! He designs and builds gorgeous responsive websites that are always easy-to-use and easy-on-the-eyes.
Hear from the man himself:
“In my spare time, I really like to stay active by cycling, going to the gym and running as often as I can. I also enjoy listening to music, walking my dog (to the pub), and generally just meeting up with friends and family. Travelling is something I have really missed over the last 18 months, and I am looking forward to more cycling trips and excursions abroad when it’s more viable.”

Christmas Campaigns
Festive spirit ready
Christmas is the time of year when retail starts booming. For most people, the festive season starts in November (December latest). In the world of marketing and graphic design, Christmas campaigns have been in the works since August… maybe even earlier!
November is the month where we can finally feel-the-festive and activate our Christmas campaigns. With eye-catching visuals, our retail client’s returning customers find their Christmas favourites and new customers find that perfect gift!
If the run-up to Christmas has become a scramble, plan next year’s festive season with our marketing campaign steps. Or give me a shout – I’ve been eating mince pies since October, so you know I’ve got the festive spirit ready.

Online Learning platform
Website Redesign
This month, James and I have been working on an online learning platform that will allow one of our clients to manage their students from a single online portal.
Students will be able to download study materials, watch videos, take online lessons, and submit assignments for marking. With more and more people now working from home, it is important that students have access to the tools and resources that will allow them to develop their careers without the need to travel to their place of work.
